ND Zippy
Bay Gelding - Eagle Ridge
Surrended to New Dawn with behavioural issues. He was assessed and our trainer Shannon worked through his issues which were all around "not being heard" and found soreness which is being treated.
He is an absolute goofball, with a great sense of humour, and LOVES people.

Chestnut Gelding - Eagle Ridge
A cute and cheeky chap that's always up for a chat. He came as a package deal with Dee who has being their gorgeous caretaker. Herd mates with Keika and Kerri before joining our large herd at Eagle Ridge.

ND Rosie
Grey Mare - Eagle Ridge

Arriving to Eagle Ridge with Dragon - these two have faced some unimaginable trauma in their lives. Rosie suffering the loss of two foals and unexperienced handlers.
Herd mates: Currently in yards due to soreness and crucial trauma recovery training. Proposed herd mates under discussion.
ND Kerri
Brown Mare - Eagle Ridge
Kerri arriving with Prince (see Prince for details). A sassy and strong minded mare, with the looks to match will spend her days in sanctuary at New Dawn.

ND Bailey
Brown Colt (will be gelded) - Eagle Ridge
Transferred from another sanctuary to ND as an unhandled colt. He is undergoing his training to work toward being gelded gently. A beautiful natured boy who is still quite young.

ND Magic
Brown Mare - Eagle Ridge
Arriving with Estelle and Bindi, with condition to gain and trauma to overcome. ND Magic, earnt her name (previously Linda), by being well simply magic. She is such a special horse, and always leading Estelle and Bindi through the challenges they face with confidence. She understands humans well. Affectionately called "The Scruffies". Once moved from agistment to Eagle Ridge they became a larger herd.

ND Angel
Bay Mare - Eagle Ridge
Listed as a free to good home, ND Angel was secured by New Dawn. She was an unhandled and unnamed aged mare, with a very patchy history. Angel is a sweet and loving mare, that has seen quite a lot in her life and now enjoys the simple life of being a herd horse.

ND Keika
Chestnut Mare - Eagle Ridge
(See Prince for details). Keika is a vibrant personality, and assertive, especially when it comes to where she would appreciate scratches. She adores human interaction.

ND Dragon
Grey Stallion (will be gelded) - Eagle Ridge

Arriving to Eagle Ridge with Rosie - these two have faced some unimaginable trauma in their lives. Dragon arrived as in picture with his halter half off (however luckier than Rosie who was left with an indentation and wound from the halter).

ND Estelle
Chestnut Mare - Eagle Ridge

Alongside her arriving herd, Estelle faces plenty of uncertainity about the world and has imprinted this fear into her daughter Bindi with has made them quite a complex duo to work with. However much improvement, and in their health. Estelle is an aged mare who much like ND Angel prefers this simple herd life, and ample food.

ND Wynter and ND Celeste
Grey mare and filly - Eagle Ridge
Yep, Celeste is genetically grey and you will see this as she ages.
Wynter was surrended to New Dawn by her owner, as Wynter exhibits trauma and uncertainity of the world which can be expressed as "behavioural issues". Wynter turned out to be in foal and has birthed ND Celeste.
They both live a very happy life, as a part of Eagle Ridge however better suited a personally owned herd on the property of mixed rescue horses.
ND Celeste has the absolute best herd dynamic to grow in, with care and protection from a diverse group of horses. Infact, she's had her own feed for several months now and that is respected by the herd.
ND Wynter continues her work, with time and respect given to her to raise and enjoy motherhood.

ND Magic

ND Bindi
Chestnut Filly - Eagle Ridge

Bindi arrived as a young foal with her mother Estelle, as mentioned in Estelle's story she faces many fears imprinted by her mum. Though also in addition her own traumas as she has communicated. Bindi will live a beautiful life in sanctuary with her family and her confidence with humans will continue to grow. Her condition was one of the poorest on arrival, her progression has being amazing to watch.

ND Justice
Bay Colt - Talgarth Farm
Rescued as an orphan foal, with status of his mother unknown. He is now being hand raised at Talgarth Farm with our component foal raiser Rachel. We will have more to come on this boy and he begins to unfold into captive life.
ND Indy and ND Toffee
Bay Filly & Brown Mare - Wild Horse Paradise
Rescued from the Eurora Saleyards. These two we believe are mother and daughter, if not they have slotted themselves into those roles. ND Indy faces an aged eye injury inwhich we have received and continue to seek vet advice about. Both of these sweet girls are safe from another saleyard ever agian. Their improvement has being amazing to watch.
ND Cascade
Grey Gelding - Wild Horse Paradise
Also rescued from Euroa sales, as a gelding, however as it would turn out he was a colt that led to a rather eventful gelding he has now recovered from and living his best life. Such a sweet and thoughtful boy with plenty of love to give.
ND Arion
Chestnut Colt (will be gelded) - Wild Horse Paradise
Also rescued from Euroa sales, he has a new light on life this gorgeous boy. He now spends his days playing with mates and with the most important thing - security of never ending up in the same situation.
ND Delilah
Chestnut Mare - Wild Horse Paradise
Secured as a second chance sale horse through online sales. She had a rough start to life, after her mother was shot, she was hand raised. We believe we are her third but the final home. As you can see by looking at her gorgeous faces, she's a sweetheart with a story or two to tell.
ND River
Bay Mare - Wild Horse Paradise
Transferred from another sanctuary due to them moving. These sweet girls (River and Hope) now live a secure life on sanctuary and never know the fear of a saleyard or constant change of homes.
ND Hope
Bay Colt - Wild Horse Paradise
Transferred from another sanctuary due to them moving. These sweet girls (River and Hope) now live a secure life on sanctuary and never know the fear of a saleyard or constant change of homes.
ND Elsa and ND Nugget
Chesnut Mare and Chesnut Colt
Rescued from Euroa saleyards, pregnant Elsa with baby Nugget on board. Elsa is a lovely mare despite humans letting her down, she still understands that the good ones can help - especially when ND Nugget had some troubles early in life. Both are now healthy and happy living sanctuary life.
ND Alexis
Bay Mare
A sweet young lady rescued for Euroa saleyards, she has being quite slow to thrive, and has had needed some medical intervention which uncovered a small injury that has now had treatment. She is well on the road to reccovery. She is very fond of Elsa, and looks to her for guidance.
