Priority Urgent Fundraiser
The arrival of our "30 mares and foals"
Arriving at Talgarth Farm in the early hours (midnight) the 21/12/2025, our project of "30 mares and foals" rescued from a remote NT Station arrived. From a basic glance, we are seeing majority colts/stallions however are grateful that despite environmental and more factors out of human control, we have managed to offer safe haven to these lucky individuals. We have managed to pull out 17, with two already slotted into fitting homes.
We have continued to be adaptable to the challenges we faced, whether it was broken communications or whatever may have happened. We have obligated and paid every bill we were presented in bid to keep true to our word and save these horses. Should we have pulled the pin whilst these horses were being trapped or in transit we have done further injustice to them and the people involved in the physical aspect.
We have exceeded our budget and fundraising by over double, and whilst we won't threaten horses starving as a way to muster donations, as not only is that strictly against our morals, we have safeguards in place to ensure our high level of welfare is met.
However, we are pushing HARD on these safeguards, and even if they are now safe, we need the exact same energy when we announce the oppurtunity to save them as now, to ensure we can remain viable and NDs finacials healthy.
We have been notified that next year, the remainder will be trapped for us. We remain hopeful that this is the case, and there is no factors that limit this.
We need your help now, this is an open fundraiser, with no set goal, or set amount, just a bid to ensure we get back on track sooner rather than later and can ensure we remain able to rescue more horses. We plead with the community to support our operations, and know that we are truely set on being THE difference.
Your donations go toward, however not limited too, feed, medical care (should it be needed), faciliy upgrades and improvements, farrier when needed, parasite management and treatment and the abililty for New Dawn to continue it's growth and save more horses.
